Zero waste, earth friendly cotton panty liners!
How do you decide what length and absorbency of cloth sanitary towel you need?
Your choice of the length and absorbency of cloth pad or panty liner is very important,As with disposable sanitary towels it depends on the intensity of your menstrual flow. Choose the length of your washable sanitary pads by choosing the closest to your current favorite disposable pad. If you find you currently bleed over the front or back of your disposable pad choose a slightly longer length of reusable cloth pad. Most of my cloth period pads come in Light, Regular,Heavy and Super as well as Gusher versions to help soak up gushy fast flows and clots quickly. I have many different lengths and shapes to choose from.
Set of 5 wingless super thin 6-9” panty liners
This super thin 6,7,8 or 9” cotton topped wingless panty liner set is great for those light days, menstrual spotting,as a tampon/cup Back up or just daily “sneeze protection” or feminine discharge. These reusable panty liners have a 100% woven topper with 1 layer of cotton flannel core and the back is softshell fleece.
These cloth sanitary pads/liners have a raw pinked unfinished edge that will fray and soften with washing making them super soft and comfortable with no bulk. You won’t know you are wearing these light cloth panty liners.
These are also available in a winged panty liner and a flannel topped wingless panty liner, see the bottom of the description for links
Please note all measurements are approximate and these pads are measured from where they are sewn,measurements do not include the pinked edge as this will vary on each liner.
The full length of these sanitary towels including the pinked edge will measure approximately 1/2” longer.
The width of the 6" and 7" in the center is approx 2.5"
The width of the 8" and 9" in the center is approx 2.75"
If you would like a mixed bundle select “surprise me” and you will receive a random selection of all different coloured fabrics.
Please be aware wingless liners can stick to your downstairs bits when sitting down to use the toilet so its a good idea to check and hold on to them before sitting down so your pad doesn't accidentally fall in the toilet.
If the frayed edges of these wingless liners become a bit unruly you can carefully trim back any long strays.
Set of 5, 6-9inch wingless washable reusable panty liners, light feminine protection, daily cloth liner

How do they stay in place?
These liners have a fuzzy softshell fleece backer which when combined with a good snug fitting pair of underwear will help keep your pad place. Alternatively double sided fabric tape or washable 505 fabric spray adhesive can help.
Why switch to cloth?
*The average person throws away 11,000- 16,000 disposable menstrual products in their lifetime,these single use menstrual products - tampons, pads and applicators generates 200,000 tonnes of waste per year.
* Choosing Bleeding Beauty Boutique cloth pads can help prevent the period rash, and discomfort often found when using disposables as our cloth pads don’t contain all the nasty chemicals used in making disposables.

Topper fabrics are all down to personal preference here is a few pros and cons of each:
COTTON
PROS= lightweight, cool,breathable, natural fibre, loads of fabric choices
CONS= tends to stain over time,some people find they feel a bit wet
JERSEY(cotton/Lycra)
PROS= cool,breathable, soft and comfortable
CONS= tends to stain easy
FLANNEL
PROS=natural fibres,breathable,absorbent, soft and comfortable
CONS- tends to stain, tends to pill over time
MINKY
PROS= super soft and cozy,stain resistant
CONS= some find it to be a bit warm
SUEDE CLOTH
PROS= soft, stain resistant,stay dry feel
CONS= pad tends to be a bit stiffer
If you are new to cloth and are unsure what length you might need I would recommend measuring you current favourite disposable. And chose that length.If you tend to bleed over the length of the back or front of your current disposable I would suggest adding a few inches to that length and chose that length.
Which way your pads are worn depends on the pad chosen,on my pads you will find an embroidered letter on the wing on the side that goes towards you this tells you the absorbency and will also help you determine which way to wear them:
L-Light
H-Heavy
S-Super
R- Regular
A snug fitting pair of underwear is very important to wear with cloth pads as they will help keep your pad securely in place and prevent your pad shifting.
Although I wash all fabrics before making your products it’s a good idea to wash your pads before.
You can either dry store your pads after they are soiled until they are ready to wash or pre rinse if you will be washing them soon. If you pre rinse, it is best to wash them soon as possible after because otherwise they will start to smell musty. If your pads are pre-rinsed or lightly soiled, you can simply put them in with the rest of your wash but DO NOT use fabric conditioner/softener
If you prefer to wash your pads separately, simply put your pads in the washer with your detergent on a 40-degree or less cycle.You can pre-soak your pads in an oxi based cleaner for 30 minutes before your regular wash to remove stains and odors if needed. You can also hand wash your pads if that is your preference.
Line drying is always preferred but yes you can. Please use a lower heat setting as high heat can warp your snaps and deteriorate your leak proof layer. Please also be aware that drying in the dryer can reduce the lifespan of your cloth pads.
Here’s a few more tips!
• Never use chlorine bleach. It weakens the fibers, fades the colour and may ruin your pads.
• Never wash unrinsed pads in hot water, it may set the iron from your blood, making a permanent stain.
• Do NOT use fabric conditioner/softener It will make the fabric less absorbent and can lead to leaks
• If you have stains,try using a little hydrogen peroxide on the stain this will usually remove it.
• A FEW drops of tea tree oil in the wash water can help disinfect and deodorize your pads.
• If your pads develop a musty smell from sitting in an enclosed space (like the bottom of your handbag if you forget them for a few days) a bit of white of vinegar or oxi in the wash water can help remove the odor.

These are my favorite period product! Once you get into the grove with them, they are a great alternative reusable product.

This is my first time using reusable pads and I’m hooked! I’ve already put in an order for more and I’ll keep buying them until I’ve built up a decent stash. Thank you for making these and keeping women’s bodies free of those nasty chemicals in disposable pads and tampons.
