Welcome to my little shop, I am Wendy and I am a proud maker and designer of Cloth Sanitary Pads for Menstruation and incontinence for humans and for our little furry friends ( dogs πΆ) I just wanted to give everyone a little info about why I started making reusable products. Initially It started as a few reusable incontinence pads for my male dogs who tend to lift their legs on everything in my house to mark their territory. I started using belly bands on them with pads lining them and that solved my problem, but that started a new problem. The cost of constantly buying disposables was ridiculous and the waste going to the landfill made me and Mother Earth very sad so I started searching for a more cost effective earth friendly option and voila!! Cloth incontinence pads. At that time I didnβt know anything about cloth pads or that they even existed but I thought if they have them for incontinence they must have them for our monthly visit with aunt flow or in my case at the time aunt flow came and stayed for 5 months. The cost and the waste from disposables led to a quick Amazon search where I found a few basic reusable pads and ended up buying a little starter pack. And that is where my cloth journey began! It was a game changer. I wish I had found these years ago the money I would have saved. π« I used to get a rash on the lady bits from most disposables and could only use certain products, well that problem was immediately solved. I used to regularly ruin the bed sheets and have to put a towel under me when I slept, that problem was solved and not to mention the coziness of the minky topped pads. So comfortable like resting your foofoo on a cloud π. I have had that first basic set for almost 2 years now and they are still perfect.
Since the start of Covid I really started to get into sewing, I started with masks because there were so many disposables literally littering our streets and I wanted something environmentally friendly and reusable. I have managed to perfect my masks and thought Iβm going to give a go at making pads for myself and the dogs!! They started out horrible but still functional ππ but now after a lot of blood, sweat, tears and tips from fellow pad makers I have learned how to make beautiful functional pads because why should our pads be basic when they can be works of art. I have become a little obsessed with making more environmentally friendly products and I have now converted a little corner of my woman cave/spare room into my little sewing room, itβs not much but I love it because I can do something I love β€οΈ
